3. How do I get GIS data?

Please review our GIS data disclaimer and then visit our Open Data webpage to download GIS data.  

The GIS data is always being updated, with most of the GIS services, like the OnlineGIS, being updated on a quarterly schedule.

Click on the black and white 'i' button tool in the upper right corner of the Online GIS for more information on tools and tips for the Online GIS.

7. What should I do if I find an error with the data?

Please contact the GIS Manager at 540-775-8558 or by email.

The GIS Manager manages the design and support of the GIS and it's data, while working with county staff, board members, and citizens on various GIS projects.

The GIS Analyst II primarily handles the maintenance of the tax maps, zoning maps, and E-911 data (roads, addresses, building footprints, and driveways).
