On February 02, 2020 at 17:45 Hrs, Units were dispatched for a possible brush fire on Salem Church RD. BC1 arrived to find the property owner out on a 4 wheeler with a rake working to contain the fire. Fire was approximately 100’x50’ grassy area. A rotten tree had broken and fallen on the power lines causing an arc. Embers from the burning section of the tree were blowing off in the wind, causing the nearby grassy area to ignite. Dominion Power responded and secured power to the affected lines. The lineman cut the tree off of the lines. However, one of the lines broke in the process. The lineman advised he was going to get a line crew out to fix the line. Brush 1 wet down the area. FD units returned to service at 19:38 Hrs
