On January 09, 2020 at 21:11 hrs, Units were dispatched for the residential structure fire. Rescue Engine 2 AOS to find a 1 story, single family dwelling with nothing evident from sides A and D. RE2 began the investigation and BC28 AOS established Fleming St. Command. RE2 found a dryer fire that was out on arrival. The assignment was held with RE2 and T28. Crews ensured there was no active fire in the dryer. T28 checked for extension to the wall and duct work with none found. T28 reported heavy lint build up in the duct work from the dryer. No signs of fire were noted in the duct work. Power was secured to the dryer. Homeowner was advised to replace the ductwork before resuming normal use of the dryer. The residence had a very light odor of smoke throughout, which required no ventilation. No other fire department services needed. Units returned when ready at 21:43 hrs.
