[ARCHIVED] Apartment Fire - Kings Wood LN

On December 11, 2019, Units were dispatched for a possible apartment fire.  Dispatch advised a neighbor heard a smoke detector sounding and could smell something strange. The caller knocked on the apartment door, but no one would answer. Battalion 1 AOS with nothing evident and established Kings Mill command. The resident from the affected apartment came outside to greet, and advised he burned eggs on the stove. There was light smoke throughout the apartment, and was drifting into the shared apartment complex foyer. The pan was in the sink with baking soda on top of the burnt food. Rescue Engine 2 was continued to provide mechanical ventilation for the apartment. Scene was turned back over to resident and Caller in adjacent apartment was advised of the situation. Command terminated and unites returned to service at 07:04 hrs.
