We are extremely proud to present the graduates of our second Certified Academy: FF/Recruit Earnshaw, FF/EMT Friberg, FF/Medic Hall, FF/EMT Murray and FF/EMT Toler. We were fortunate to have King George Board of Supervisor members Annie Cupka - Chairwoman, Jeff Bueche - James Monroe District, and Cathy Binder - Shiloh District in attendance at the graduation ceremony which was conducted today. Clerk of the courts - Vic Mason was also present to swear in and read the oaths of our six newest hires, including FF/EMT Parker. We heard from multiple presenters, including BOS Member Jeff Bueche, Fire Chief David Moody, Lt. Halkowich, and Honor Guard member Zachary Dove. Presentations highlighted the hard work that was accomplished during these last four weeks of the academy, and also encouraged these new members to always continue to learn, grow and share their experiences and knowledge with those that come after them.
We also conducted our cake-cutting ceremony by celebrating our most senior firefighter, former Chief Ted Lovell, and our most fresh firefighter, FF/EMT Toler.
Please join us in congratulating these six new employees, and know that they are excited and ready to start their journey here in King George with their assigned shifts while serving this community with pride!
