Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) serves as an appellate body for persons aggrieved of any zoning decision or determination made by County staff. The BZA also serves as the review agency with specific discretionary authority to approve or deny variance requests to specific code sections in the County’s local zoning ordinance. Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of every month, unless advertised otherwise.

Building & Fire Code Appeals
The Local Board of Building and Fire Code Appeals, is a 5 member board, appointed by the King George County Board of Supervisors, whose charge is to render fair and competent decisions regarding the application of the USBC and shall to the extent possible, represent different occupational or professional fields relating to the construction industry.

Citizen Budget Advisory Committee
The Board of Supervisors-appointed Budget Advisory Committee is tasked to represent the citizens of King George County as their liaison with County Department and Administration fiscal year budget reviews.

Economic Development Authority
The King George County's Economic Development Authority (EDA) is a Board-appointed Authority whose responsibility it is to promote King George County, Virginia, as an excellent location for commerce and trade. Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month, unless advertised otherwise.

Electoral Board
The duty of the Electoral Board is to insure all elections are conducted fairly and impartially. Meetings are during the first week of February, during the month of March and the Wednesday following an election.

Landfill Advisory Committee
The Landfill Advisory Committee acts as a liaison between citizens and the Board of Supervisors for matters related to the landfill and convenience centers and also advises the Board on solid waste and recycling matters. Meetings are held quarterly.

Library Board of Trustees
The Library Board of Trustees guides operations, maintenance and conduct of the Lewis Egerton Smoot Memorial Library to focus public attention on the library, stimulate the use of resources and services, receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests, support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for King George County. Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month, unless advertised otherwise.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public and the public is welcome to speak during the public comment period.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is a 10 member Commission, appointed by the King George Board of Supervisors, whose charge it is to review and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors regarding Code Amendments, Special Use Permits, Rezonings, and the Comprehensive and Capital Improvement Plans. In addition, the Planning Commission reviews and approves or disapproves preliminary subdivision plats.

Ralph Bunche High School Advisory Committee
Established on August 7, 2012, the RBHS Advisory Committee is tasked with preserving and educating the King George citizens and visitors of the historical significance of the Black High School that operated during the segregation of schools.
