Reliable, cost-effective electric power is supplied by Dominion Virginia Power and two distribution companies, Northern Neck and Rappahannock Electric Cooperatives, that are members of Old Dominion Electric Cooperative.
The county is working with Columbia Gas to bring a high pressure, steel natural gas line into the county. This line will run from the Stafford County line to the King George Industrial Park along Route 3. Anticipated date of completion is late 2014.
Average daily use is approximately 525,000 gallons, maximum permitted production is 1.2 million gallons per day. Total system storage volume is 1.6 million gallons.
Average daily flow is 480,000 gallons per day with a maximum permitted treatment capacity of 1,785,000 gallons per day.
The King George County Landfill, managed by Waste Management, accepts household, commercial and non-hazardous industrial waste.
