On August 06, 2019 @ 17:38 hrs, Units were dispatched for smoke in a residence in the 6000 Block of Rosedale DR. AOS to find the water heater element had been arcing. The arcing caused the insulation of the water heater to begin burning and smoldering. Power was secured to the building and the Homeowner was notified that he needed to have an electrician fix the issue prior to turning the power back on to the residence. Fire spread was contained to the water heater insulation. The assignment was returned to service.
