In December of 2017, Deputy Rod Shriver received the King George County "Making a Difference Award" for his dedicated service and outstanding commitment to our community. Deputy Shriver, who was nominated for this honor by King George County School Superintendent Robert Benson, serves as the School Resource Officer for King George Middle School and as a D.A.R.E. Instructor for our local schools. This year, Deputy Shriver worked with the KG YMCA to organize the "Bridge the Gap" program which allowed local children to spend their summer getting to know the deputies who serve them and have fun while learning about law enforcement.

Welcome Heather Bennett and Payton Anderson to the King George Sheriff's Office team!! Heather and Payton successfully completed an intensive selection process and are currently serving the citizens of King George County as E911 Communications Officers. Congratulations to you both!!

Congratulations to Deputy Zeb Johnson who was recently selected as a new member of the Special Response Team. In order to be selected as an SRT Operator, deputies must possess a high level of physical fitness, pass an interview board, and successfully complete a rigorous regional training program in addition to in-house training. Deputy Johnson has demonstrated the skill and commitment necessary to serve on this highly specialized team.
